My life changed direction in 1989. For me, two major things happened that year.
First my partner Michael and I purchased a large fixer house in a neglected part of Seattle's Central Area. Little did I know it was but the first of many fixers to come in our lives. Each project over the years since has grown larger and more ambitious (and risky), but it was in this first fixer house that I discovered the joys of dry rot, the frustrations of no show contractors, and the huge financial opportunities of Seattle home ownership.
Also in 1989 (it was April 26th, 1989 to be exact) I embarked upon my real estate career. I left a job at the Port of Seattle enthused with the rush of watching our fixer improve (slowly) and wanting to help my friends get a house just as Michael and I had. Many years have passed since I made the career move and I've had the pleasure of helping hundreds of friends and clients achieve their real estate goals. My greatest satisfaction has been assisting repeat clients whose real estate needs change over the years. Recently I've added to this satisfaction the joy of helping the children of my past clients get into their first house. I deeply appreciate the trust and confidence they all place in my skills.
